Stirring Life Groups
We are building relationships through a community of small groups in order to share our lives in Jesus Christ with the world. We hunger for the deep, authentic relationships Jesus had in mind when He prayed that His followers would be one. We believe that Stirring Life Groups provide the kind of life-giving community that builds and empowers the Body of Christ and impacts the world . . .
What is a Life Group?
This is a bit like asking, "What is a family?" There are no two that are exactly alike. It can be made up of young families, grandparents, college students or a collection of everybody. A Life Group is a place for people to know and be known, to love and be loved. It is not a group of perfect people who have life all figured out. A Life Group is for those of us who still need to grow, who need a place to ask questions and who need others to help us when we mess things up.
A Life Group is a place to learn together what it means to follow Christ, to study the Scriptures together, to figure out together what it means to love our neighbors and care for the poor. A Life Group is a group of people who share life, encourage one another, confess sins to one another, and perhaps even share possessions. It's a place to eat, play and rest.
A Life Group is not utopia in fact, they tend to be a bit messy. No one has life figured out yet. The beauty of Life Groups is that as we live the journey together, we become the community we've always longed for, even when it's not perfect.
